YOUR FIRST BREAK, STEP BY STEP

Help & Tutorials

Browse the checklist first. Then track the spots you bought and the cards you personally hit.

Getting started

1. Browse checklists

Open Checklists and search for the product's name or full season, such as “2025-26 Topps Pristine.” Use the catalog filters to narrow the list, then choose View Checklist.

Inside a checklist, search by player, character or card number. Combine the team and section/category controls to narrow the results. Use the Autograph filter to find autograph cards across sections. Available filters depend on the product.

Published odds and parallels appear where source information is available. “Unavailable” or missing odds do not mean zero odds. Unresolved affiliations and source uncertainties may need review; they are not guessed assignments.

2. Accounts & access

Public checklists are free and do not require a sign-in.

Account creation is free. Break and collection tools require a USD 4.99 monthly subscription or an active complimentary-access grant. Sign in and open Subscription to see your access status and manage billing through Stripe's hosted pages.

When registering, confirm your email using the message from Break Right before signing in. If needed, use the confirmation-email resend or password-reset links on the sign-in page. Contact Support if you cannot get in.

Access expiration or revocation does not delete your saved cards or breaks. Your subscription is separate from what you pay a breaker for a spot.

3. Create a break or mixer

  1. Choose Start Break on a checklist, or Breaks → Start a Break from navigation.
  2. In Break details, choose the category and format, name your break, and add any breaker or scheduling details you want to keep.
  3. In Products & Boxes, add each product, box configuration and quantity. Add more than one supported product to make a mixer.
  4. In Spots, choose how spots are sold. Team formats use the reviewed roster for the products you selected. Player and custom spots support other ways of selling spots.
  5. Review Pricing and then Review. Complete setup to open the break.

Product compatibility matters. An NBA team break and an NBL team break have different rosters; they do not become one team pool. If a team format cannot represent the selected products, use an available player/custom format or separate breaks. College and unresolved affiliations are not silently assigned to professional teams.

4. Add only the spots you purchased

In the break, select your team or choose the purchase action for its format. The team you click is carried into the purchase form. For player, character or custom spots, search and include the subjects or affiliations covered by your purchase.

Enter the amount paid if you know it; open cost details for additional information. Save the purchase and check that it appears in your selected spots. You only need to name the custom spots you bought, not recreate every participant's purchases. Saved spot configurations can supply a reusable lineup when needed.

Once your purchases are recorded, choose Start Ripping. The spot and cost area collapses so you can focus on the checklist. You can expand it again to review or edit a purchase.

5. Record your hits

Use the break checklist's search, team/spot and category filters to find the card. Choose Record Hit, review the card, select its parallel or variation if applicable, and save. For the base card, keep the base selection.

A shared or multi-team card may require you to choose the winning purchased team or spot. Record each physical copy separately. You do not need to record cards pulled for other participants.

Your saved hits appear in My hits beside the checklist on larger screens, or above it on phones. Use Edit hit or Undo hit while the break is open. After completing a break, reopen it before changing its hits. Cards with later collection activity may need a separate review so those changes are preserved.

6. Find your cards in My Cards

Open My Cards → Collection to find saved hits. Use its search and filters, open a card to review its details, and add your own photos when you have them. My Cards → Add Card also lets you enter a catalog card or a custom card outside a break.

Keep purchase costs, allocated acquisition costs and current comp values separate: they describe different things. Recording a hit is not a market-value estimate.
